2014 Christmas Project

Dear Friends, Family & Communities,

Since the inception of the Whole-Listic Children's Foundation from your generosity and support we have touched over 758 hearts. We shared with 155 (Thanksgiving 2013), 543 (Christmas 2013), 50 (Valentines 2014), and 10 (Easter 2014), respectively. We are a non-profit organization that is 100% volunteer operated and 100% of your tax-deductible donations (EIN #30-0795198) will go directly to the recipients that could use some Holiday cheer.

To complete this year, we are hoping to reach 1,000 hearts. We are asking for your support by spreading the word to your family and friends and within your communities. You can support Project HOPE in several ways:

Holiday 2014’s mission is to reach 242 hearts! We need your support to help create a more promising world for our children. One filled with altruistic acts within their community. It truly takes "A Community To Raise Our Children."

In Gratitude for your Generosity & Continued Support!

Here's How You Can Support Us:

  • 1) Adopt a Child for the Holidays – Be A Secret Elf   ($20 per child)

Kidstretch is a subsidiary of Homestretch. Homestretch was

designed to address the root of homelessness in Virginia and

to provide them with resources to help reverse it. Many of

these families have been afflicted with not only poverty but

domestic abuse. Over 2,600 children do not have access to

preschools in our area and Headstart Programs have an

extensive waiting list. These two preschools have been created

to address some of the overload.

We all want our children to grow into good classmates, parents,

and community leaders. Let’s help contribute a piece in helping to

even the playing field.

Without high-quality early education, at-risk children are:

  • 25% more likely to drop out of school

  • 40% more likely to become a teen parent

  • 50% more likely to be placed in special education

  • 60% more likely to never attend college

  • 70% more likely to be arrested for a violent crime

Two preschools (Kidstretch and The Child & Family Network Centers)

Over 100% of the families enrolled are at or below 185% of poverty and almost half of those families are below 100% of the federal poverty line.

A total of 100 kids will need a “Secret Elf” this year. There are 6 classrooms that need your support.

Your contributions will bring them:

  • Pictures with Santa Clause & a copy of “A Magical Rainbow for the Holidays” story.

  • The lesson that it’s better to give than receive. Each child will also be donating a hat/mitten to “Hats for the Homeless” in their honor.

  • Holiday Party & classroom supplies

  • Stocking with goodies and a Pillow Pet to provide them with a buddy beyond the Holidays

  • 2) Bring a wrapped hat, scarf, or glove to the Gainesville Holistic Health Center. Home-made items are even more priceless. These items will be distributed to the Homeless within the New York region at the Francis Xavier Soup Kitchen. (http://www.hats4thehomeless.org/)

Let’s reverse the energy from 911 in that region. We would like to spread some warmth to 143 hands/heads. Collections taken up to December 16th.
